A massive winter storm continued Sunday morning, dumping snow, sleet and freezing rain across the South and up through New England, bringing frigid temperatures, widespread power outages and treacherous road conditions.

8:40 a.m.: The roads are clear so far in the Capital Region's urban core. So far, no snow has yet to hit the ground. Light snow is expected to come through around 9 a.m. Down in Poughkeepsie, snow began hitting the ground around 7:30 a.m.
Several parts of Texas are under a winter weather advisory, including counties east of El Paso, Dallas, Austin, and areas north of San Antonio.
